Main Shop Cafe

Beautiful place for photos. Their baumkuchen tastes mediocre tho. But the architecture here is truly amazing. Worth coming here nevertheless. Do keep in mind that buses here do not run that often. Always be alert, be at the bus station 10min earlier.

A mix of different cake shops surrounding a garden. The line up for the baumkuchen cafe on the second floor was too long, but if you go next door, there was a castella cafe with no line up. It seems like the garden will be very beautiful in the spring

You can try the combination of Japnese and Western sweet in this place ‘La Collina’. Dorayaki with fresh cream is one of my recomendation recipe.

Designed by Fujinori Terunobu, one of the amazing architect in Japan. This place is a wonder for an architecture enthusiast. The building gives different vibrant on each season, each visit will have a different views.The cakes sold here is also tastes amazing.

If you love everything Hare, you are in for a treat as this is an smorgasbord of things from beautifully baked breads, baumkuchen, ice cream, and traditional Japanese treats. But, it is located in the middle of nowhere and I didn't find it worth the trip as I can buy all those goods from my local department store.

At the same time, you can look at the architecture design and eat delicious desserts. Great experience！

The scale of this place is enough to make you say “wow,” as compared the compactness of most places in this country. Looks like they are expanding too. The fresh baked castella in the cafe is probably something you will never be able to experience elsewhere. Fluffy and sweet.

Beautiful bakery shop.

This place is perfect for people who love "baumkuchen", sweets, arts and nature. It's just a bus away from Omihachiman station and there are lots of "instagrammable" areas in this place. From here, you can just walk or ride a bicycle going back to the station. Along the way, you will see other sightseeing spots in Omihachiman like the Himure Hachimangu Shrine, Hachiman Bori Canal, and Demachi dori.

Must see & go ! They provide delicious foods and have some buildings covered with grass and wide garden with season's plants.

Beautiful place! It was nice to walk around in. I don't know what exactly they were selling but whatever it was it must have been good because there was a lineup out the door but it was also very expensive.

Super packed when I came here. Loved the setting and the atmosphere here! So many yummy pastries to eat here. Tried the Castella Cake and was not disappointed. The place to try it is right after the main complex right next to the little sculpture in the center of the complex. A must have with ice cream and that red bean paste. A must stop by if you are visiting the area.

Very nice group of architecture. It hosts a range of bakeries and all taste very nice. Worth a visit.

Very unique place. Never been anywhere like it in Japan. The prices are a bit high, but the sweets are pretty fancy. This place is if you just want to take fun pictures or buy fancy expensive sweets. When I went at 5:00pm the outdoor “food court” area was all closed, but the main shops and restaurants were still open. I bought two delicious macaroons.
